Doesn't it look fun? MJI's Everyday Conversational Japanese Course helps you achieve your goals and make your life in Japan more enjoyable and fulfilling.
Have you ever thought "Why do many Japanese language schools offer lessons only in Japanese, wasting valuable time explaining very simple concepts?" MJI instructors have been trained in how to explain grammar in English, so you will understand quickly and have more time to practice.
We will work with you to choose the best textbook that matches your needs and interests. We can change textbooks if you think the one we chose does not work well for you. Other materials such as magazines, movies, and newspapers will also sometimes be used.
In MJI's lessons you will have chances to practice what you learned from the textbook in actual life. You can go to restaurants or stores around the school with your teacher and try ordering and shopping in Japanese. Your teacher will help you when you have questions so that you can feel comfortable and confident.
In beginner level lessons, you will learn 100 general grammars, 1000 vacabularies, and useful phrases for actual conversation. We choose the best one from store-bought textbooks that is suitable for your goals. Your teacher can offer grammar and cultural explanations in English, so even complete beginners can feel comfortable. Through a great volume of excercises such as oral Japanese composition and role-play, you can improve your speaking skills. You will also have chances to go outside of school with your teacher to practice speaking Japanese in actual life. Regarding characters: hiragana, katakana, and kanji, MJI's original writing method will help you learn how to write and memorize them smoothly.

Intermediate level lessons will help you acquire skills not only to join a conversation and answer questions, but also to control the flow of a conversation. Using an intermediate level text that contains exercises of 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, you will practice input and output of a decent amount of Japanese. At this level, it must be very fun to talk with your Japanese friends about a variety topics, sometimes with jokes.

In advanced lessons, you will refine your Japanese skills by reading and summarizing articles, having discussions on current affairs, and writing essays. If you have any particular topics you are interested in, for example, novels by Haruki Murakami, manga, and TV shows, we can use them as your lesson materials. You will also practice pronunciations, intonations, and accents so that you can speak more fluent Japanese.
